Re-Animator: Dawn of the Re-animator (Re-Animator: Dawn of the Re-animator #4)

For the last few days Herbert West and Elena Gurber have been allowed to roam Erich Melter's compound, and things seem manageable until Elena sees two zombie slaves rip each other apart.

She tells Herbert, who believes that this is proof that Erich powers are waning and maybe their chance to escape.

While Herbert is out, Elena gets summoned to Erich, but on the way her zombie guide is ambushed by the zombie of her dead father Hans Gruber. He takes her back to Herbert and the three make a plan to escape.

Erich learns of Han's betrayal and summons all his zombie slave to catch them. Herbert and Elena are forced to hack their way to the helicopter, but Hans gets their first. He flies the helicopter into Erich's headquarters, supposably killing the zombie master.

Elena is so grieved by her father's sacrifice and walks into the flames of the wreak. Herbert, the logical one, uses the chaos to escape the now mindless zombies and makes it back to Zurich.

In Zurich, Herbert and Fredrick Sanderson discuss the fact that Herbert has been fired and is being forced to go back to America, and even though Fredrick seems to have upper hand Herbert vows revenge.
