Herbert West and Elena Gruber are no match for the zombie warrior, that Frederick Sanderson sent to collect them and the pair are quickly knocked unconscious.

The pair are then taken to a zombie infested compound the Swiss Alps, there they are striped nude and marched in front of the Master Erich Metler. They learn the Erich and Elena's father, Hans Gruber, used to be friends in the war, but when they captured by a fanatic, Gideon Sauvage, and almost turned into mindless zombies, the pair escape btu decided to go different ways in the studies.

Erich learned the dark magics of the Elder Gods, where Hans became a professor and took on West as a student.

Erich then introduces Herbert and Elena to his newest creation, a reanimated Hans Gruber.
