Heart of the Desert

Kansas, 1870. Newly commissioned officer Lieutenant Norman Pyle is given a most dangerous mission: he must track down and capture a deserter, a former war hero who is now leading a group of rebel Indians. On his quest, Pyle will be faced with the horrors of a nation that has only just put the Civil War behind it. His journey will test his every limit. A liberal adaptation of Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness."
